A Long Season at Betterpark Hintertux

Betterpark Hintertux is the centre of the ski area’s freestyle offering. Its high-altitude location near the Olperer lifts allows for an unusually long park season. The snowpark generally opens in autumn and again in spring and early summer. Freeskiers and snowboarders can expect changing jib features, several lines and larger kickers. The annual Hintertux Park Opening in early October is an established date on the European freestyle calendar.

The seasonal opening schedule is also the park’s main limitation. Betterpark is usually closed during the core winter months. At that time of year, the Funslope and Kidsslope at Sommerberg provide additional variety. With waves, banked turns and playful features, however, they are aimed more at families and recreational skiers than dedicated freestyle riders.
