Beginners will find several suitable places to make their first turns at Hintertux Glacier. Flohpark Hintertux is located directly at the valley station and features magic carpets, beginner lifts and a carousel. Access is free and no ski pass is required. During the winter season, the Sommerberg area provides another gentle practice slope. Once beginners can stop and turn confidently, they can progress to the easy blue runs served by the Ramsmoos lift.
In autumn and spring, the beginner terrain is limited to the glacier above Tuxer Fernerhaus. Reaching the practice area on the glacier requires several gondola rides. A shuttle service can be arranged in advance for complete beginners. The wide blue runs at the Olperer lifts are suitable for the next stage. However, there are only a few connected easy pistes, making conventional beginner resorts more convenient for a first ski holiday.
