intertux Glacier is particularly well suited to advanced skiers. Wide red pistes around Gefrorene Wand, Kaserer and the Olperer lifts provide plenty of space for fast carving turns. The black runs at Schlegeis and around Gefrorene Wand offer a greater challenge. The high altitude and long season also make Hintertux a popular training venue for racing teams and performance-focused skiers.
One of the biggest challenges is the descent from the highest glacier slopes to the village of Hintertux. The long Schwarze Pfanne valley run covers a large part of the ski area’s total vertical drop of 1,750 metres, although it only opens when snow conditions permit. During the main winter season, Hintertux Glacier can also be included in the Glacier Circuit through the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000, combining demanding pistes with long distances and substantial vertical.
