The Cross-Country Area
With a total of 75 kilometers of classic and 55 kilometers of skating trails, Oberstdorf offers a particularly varied cross-country skiing range. The trail network extends over the entire community and also opens up the side valleys and individual districts. In addition, most routes are interconnected so that they can be combined as desired. On the ascents and descents, the trails are up to 15 meters wide. A total of 10 kilometers are even technically beschneibar and guarantee even with little snow best winter sports pleasure.
- Elevated between 2559 ft and 3707 ft, the Cross-Country Skiing Area is among the 15 highest elevated Cross-Country Skiing Areas in Germany.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 59 " at summit elevation and 3 " at the base. Therefore Oberstdorf is among the 15 cross-Country Skiing Areas with best snow conditions in Germany.
