Nice practicing are at the base!

Steamboat Springs proved to be a very versatile ski resort. Steamboat might be especially known among free-riders and expert skiers / boarders due to the world-famous champagne-powdery slopes. However we were able to award Steamboat with 4 stars also in the family category. Before parents venture into difficult grounds it is highly recommendable though (if not a must) to drop off the kids at the local ski school. The ski school is located in the central area of the base station of the “Gondola”. And in case parents do want to explore the ski resort together with their kids there are a sufficient amount of trails for a family to spend a fun day on the slopes. If the kids are not completely new to snow-sports the many intermediate trails (earmarked blue) are not problematic at all. We recommend athletic families to check out the "Vagabond", "Rainbow" und "Buddy´s Run". Worthy of praise is also the practicing area at the base of the “Gondola” where believe it or not 5 magic carpets take the kids up and around the terrain. Unique is the “Kids Adventure Club at Night” which even offers evening programmes for kids. For details see www.steamboat.com.
