      Tree skiing and carving runs!

Ski-experts of course know that Steamboat Colorado is home to the nicest tree-skiing-trails. It is definitely demanding to ski through forests in waist high powder But the terrain at the “Sunshine Express”is less densely forested and can therefore easily be ventured into by non-expert skiers also. Get ready for the snow-sliding experience of a lifetime! Still tree-skiing does bare some dangers. We definitely highly recommend wearing at least a helmet if not also protectors. Those who prefer groomed terrain are well off at the “Priest Creek” chair. Excellent intermediate groomers as the “Tomahawk” or “High Noon” for instance are located there. Also the lower areas of the resort provide some nice intermediate level terrain, to name a few: "Vagabond", "Eagle´s Nest" or "Heavenly Daze". If you are on the lookout for some challenge but don’t want to take risks in the tree runs there is some nice challenging terrain to be found at the “Pony Express”. Steamboat is definitely worth visiting! Modern lift facilities, beautiful trails and let alone the unique and special atmosphere. Our conclusion: A “Top for intermediate skiers” resort which we awarded with 4,5 out of 5 stars in this category.
