Sölden: Numerous slopes and party until morning!

The success of the ski resort Sölden in the Ötztal valley is based on two key components: the 144 kilometers of slopes and the incomparable diverse selection of events and parties on the slopes as well as down in the valley. The numerous Après Ski pubs and clubs are the identifying feature of the community of Sölden. But the ski resort has lots of other things to offer as well: The BIG 3-Rallye leads ski and snowboarders to a stunning look-out platform, which allows a breathtaking view onto the Tyrolean mountains. Around September the glacier ski resort is buzzing with activity and tourists visit from all over the world. In October latest everyone in Sölden knows that winter has officially started because that is the time when the annual FIS Alpine Ski World Cup at the Rettenbachgletscher glacier kicks off again. Even if you are not an enthusiastic skier or snowboarder - Sölden has a lot to offer for non-skiers as well: the “Freizeit Arena”(leisure arena) awaits with a wonderful selection of different sports programs. If you are looking for a few days of rest and relaxation you should head on over to the nearby village of Vent. The ski resort in the Ötztal valley is definitely worth your visit and we highly recommend it to all passionate winter sport enthusiasts!

It works so
I was on the road in Sölden for the first time. The ski area didn't convince me really. The piste preparation wasn't good. Some of them did not exist at all. I don't know if I'll be back

High out
Super Glacier-but far away from the valley.Apres ski top with a very bad female quota for skiing areas and unfortunately with many umbrella bars right on the thoroughfare.

In my opinion, the Sölden ski resort is one of the most versatile in Austria. You have the super wide motorways like on the glacier or on the Giggijoch. But also the one or the other escarpment. I... Read complete review
