Extreme is the name of the game!

Mt Hutt is very popular among European and North American team-skiers where preparing for the winter race season is concerned. Mt Hutt is considered one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in Oceania. Apart from excellent training possibilities (at the “Hubers Run” there are frequently race tracks to be found) are the indefinite outback opportunities. Especially the extreme runs in the “South Face” area (see trail map) will challenge even the best among skiers and boarders. If you cross the “Virgin Mile Ridge” you can choose any spot to dive into the bowl or continue into the “Rakadia Saddle Chutes” (only in case of good snow-cover) where even more black powder runs leading down to the serpentine road await to be conquered. The free shuttle bus takes the daredevils back to the base. If that wasn’t spine tingling enough there is the possibility to bungy-jump at the parking lot or book heli-skiing in Methven.
