Mt Buller and Mt Hotham boast the best expert terrain in Victoria

Whilst Falls Creek fits best the demands of beginners and families, expert skiers have to choose between Mt Buller and Hotham. There are some advantages that speak for Mt Hotham to be the first choice for experts in Victoria. When snow and weather conditions allow, Kat Skiing Adventures are the best way to explore Hotham´s famous powder stashes. Due to the geography (the Victorian Alps rise to an altitude of only around 2000m) Hotham cannot be compared to the great European resorts or the famous off-piste areas in North America. Nevertheless Hotham boasts some of the nicest difficult slopes like “The Pipeline“ or “Brockhoff“ in Victoria. If snow coverage is good enough (mainly during high season in July till August) there are some spine tingling off-piste descents which can be accessed by the chairlifts “Gotcha” and “Keogh´s”.
