Mainly demanding slopes but two nice practice areas for kids!

Hotham is renowned to have one of the best intermediate terrain in Australia and hence is not the best place to be for families with inexperienced skiers as they wont be able to tap the whole potential of the ski resort together. However parents can spend a fun and relaxing day on the slopes knowing that the kids are happy well taken care of by the dedicated snowsports instructors at the Kids Snowzone, located at the Big D chairlift (see trailmap). And they definitely won`t miss mum and dad with theme parks to discoverer and improving their skiing skills in a playful manner. Hotham daycare centre, a fully registered childcare facility is catering for children aged three months to five years. We highly recommend to drop of the children at one of these facilities. Otherwise families can only explore the slopes around The Summit chairlift, The Drift t-bar and Big D quad. All the other slopes are too demanding for small kids and parents will miss the nicest spots at Hotham.
