Good beginners terrain above Mt Hotham village

Although Hotham is famous for the nicest intermediate terrain in Victoria, there is something to discover for beginners too. In the northern part of the village, the Summit chairlift gives access to the Summit Run, a very gentle slope of about 500m length. In the southern end of the village there is another great area for beginners including the Easy Street and QC slope next to Big D Express chairlift. A magic carpet lift operates there as well. For those doubting whether they are skilled enough to discover the resort without help, should visit the „Hotham Kids Snowzone“, the local ski- and snowboard school which can be found in Hotham Central. A free bus shuttle service takes skiers to the Big D Express and Hotham Central. Unfortunately nearly all other slopes of the resort are marked intermediate or difficult terrain. Therefore beginners and especially first timers won`t be able to tap the whole potential of the ski-area.
