      Tree-free off-piste terrain!

The natural tree line in Colorado is at about 3600m above sea level. Consequently tree-free powder runs are rare. In Breckenridge the new “Imperial Express SuperChair” takes skiers and boarders up to 3962m and therefore is the highest High-Speed-Chair in the entire US. The terrain made accessible by the chair is among the nicest free ride terrain to be found in Colorado! The highlight for all free skiers and boarders is the “Horseshoe Bowl”. If you are willing to put up with a hike you will always find some pristine slope to draw first tracks into. Slalom- and giant slalom aces have the beautiful “Race Area” at the “Run Super Chair” at their disposal! Beckenridge only narrowly missed the highest mark in the Expert Category. Due to the fact that trails at Peak 8 and Peak 9 are rather flat and can’t be avoided in order to get to the more challenging areas of the resort we took away 0, 5 stars. Still Beckenridge was awarded our “Top for experts” award as 4,5 stars remains an excellent result!
