Falls Creek – One of the best freestyle resorts in the world!

Falls Creek claims to be Australia´s freeride and freestyle capital. Indeed Falls Creek’s three terrain parks are famous across the world. Two parks can be found right next to the Ruined Castle chairlift. One of the parks is home to big hits for advanced riders and a smaller scale park is dedicated to intermediate boarders. And last but not least, the Drover´s Park, situated just above the scenic Rocky Valley Lake, is destined for beginners. All freeriders we recommend the off-piste tree run Chainsaw (a very suitable name we find). Make sure snow coverage is good or else you risk destroying your equipment. Don´t miss to book the Kat Skiing that takes you to great powder runs at Mt McKay (see advanced skiers category). If you are new to the snowboarding world, try one of the gentle slopes like Drover´s Dream or Wombat´s Ramble. The Falls Creek Snowsports School is located at the top of Falls Creek express. Thanks to the great freestyle opportunities and the good terrain for first timers, Falls Creek is awarded 4,5 stars out of five in the snowboard category!
