"Dirty Dog" terrain-park and "Fruju" half-pipe

The majority of visitors to ski resorts in New Zealand are snowboarders. Therefore ski resorts in New Zealand truly make an effort to cater to boarders. “Coronet Peak” has some great features like the “Fruju Half Pipe” right by the black run “Walk About” (see trail map) and the so called “Dirty Dog Terrain Park” right by the “Million Dollar” run. First timers can give snow sports a try in the practising area “Big Easy” where they are excellently catered to with magic carpets and really easy terrain (see beginners’ category). For all powder lovers the “Back Bowls” (by the “Coronet Express Chair”) is the place to be as pristine slopes wait to be conquered. The “Powder Run” close to the “Rocky Gully” t-bar also provides some deep snow fun! All in all “Coronet Peak” truly deserves the good mark of 4 stars in the snowboarding category
