"Big Easy" - novice terrain right at the base

Families with small kids can be sure that their offspring will learn to love snow sports at the Coronet Peak. The “Big Easy” is a specially designated beginner’s area that covers 5 interconnected easy slopes. Two magic carpets lifts get the kids up and around the terrain and assure an easy ascent. If the kids have had skiing experience the majority of the ski resort can be easily explored. That’s where “Coronet Peak” is different from all the other ski resorts in New Zealand as Coronet features a lot of groomed terrain whereas other resorts focus much more on attracting powder fans. If the parents however choose to spend a day on the slopes without offspring they can drop off the kids at the “Snowsports School” or the “Childrens’s Centre & Creche” where they are taken care of by trained staff.
