The small Upper Austrian ski resort Wurzeralm gets the top mark in the category "beginners". Perfect practice slopes right at the top station of the funicular and the beautiful blue valley run are the cornerstones for this outstanding result. Good and very good skiers, on the other hand, will find only limited variety on the Wurzeralm, so we would rather advise this clientele to prefer the nearby Hinterstoder Höss ski area (included in the price of multi-day tickets). For families with small children, on the other hand, we can definitely recommend a day trip or a vacation of several days in Spital am Pyhrn.
