Small fun park but grand freeriding

Skilled boarders will love the “Saddle Basin”. Located right next to the intermediate trail “Bullet” (marked blue in New Zealand) is the small terrain-park featuring some rails and kickers. From the “Upper High Street” numerous off-piste descents lead down into the valley. The intermediate slopes “Shooter, “Saddleback” and “Cloud Nine” definitely aren’t too demanding for skilled boarders. The “Drop Off” and “Payback” steeps however are a real challenge even to expert boarders. However we can’t even recommend very skilled boarders the off pist-terrain in the “Motatapu Basin”. Many descents are so steep you need two edges to slide down the mountain (see expert category). Beginners will find excellent practicing terrain at the “Nice n’ Easy Platter Lift”. The “Home Basin” is the place to be for Boarders who prefer groomed terrain to powder runs.
