Beautiful mountain restaurants but no night life at the base stations.
There are a few cosy, rustic ski huts at the Katschberg-Aineck ski resort. Unfortunately there are some slopes (especially around the Aineck mountain) that really lack fine après-ski spots. The “Adlerhorst” and “Gamskogelhütte” mountain restaurants are home to wonderful ambiance and breathtaking mountain views. You can find the “Adlerhorst” restaurant at the mountain station of the Aineckbahn(1) lift facility, the “Gamskogelhütte” is situated next to the “Gamskogelpiste Nord(6)” slope. Luckily prices are rather reasonable in comparison to the large skiing-areas in Tyrol. However there is absolutely no night life at the mountain pass base station but if you go to the near town St.Michael you will surely find some nice discos or bars.
