Great Off-Piste area at the “Shadow Basin Chair”

While the terrain at the “Sugar Bowl Chair” is primarily of easy or intermediate level the “Shadow Basin Chair” takes all powder fans into some beautiful terrain i.e. “Express Way”, “Hour Glass”, “Rainbow Warrior” or “Shady Lady”. Take a little break at the top of the “Mid Station Bowl” and let you eyes wander across Queenstown and the beautiful “Lake Wakatipu”. Due to the fact that gentle terrain is separated from expert terrain unskilled and expert skiers will seldomly get in each others way. Unfortunately all expert level slopes are powder runs. Apart from a permanent racing track especially groomed steeps are missing. However very skilled skiers can definitely spend a fun day on the slopes at “The Remarkables” and with “Coronet Peak” practically next door there is a second large ski resort to discover.
