Leukerbad is one of the more challenging ski resorts in Valais!
Though it is certainly not one of the larger ski areas in Switzerland, with only 50 kilometers (31mi) of groomed slopes, Leukerbad-Albinen's trails are fairly challenging, and will pose a problem for many beginners. Less-experienced skiers are better off sticking to Park Erli, located above the sports complex in Leukerbad, where you'll have three short tows at your disposal all waiting to take you directly to the blue trails, which are suitable even for the least experienced of beginners. In light of its high percentage of black trails, the main ski area below the Torrenthorn (2997m) should really be left to more advanced skiers. Apart from one short blue trail section off the Rinderhütte lift (lift G), „Kumme“ is the only blue trail in the entire area.
