The Rise High 88 with a full carbon jacket offers a fantastic weight-performance ratio and optimum stability. Despite weighing in at just 1,090 g (@ 170 cm), it offers great durability on long, demanding tours in high alpine terrain, making it ideal for experienced ski mountaineers.
In addition to the carbon construction, the 88 also features the unique Smart Skinclip attachment system, which is compatible with both Fibre Tech and Smart Glue skins.
Technologies
Full Carbon Jacket: Material layup for direct transmission and high reliability/stability at the lightest possible weight.
Smart Skiclip: The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows the ski tourer to decide for himself, depending on the situation, in which direction he should pull the skin on and off. A standard snap hook at the tail end of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from behind. The skin can, however, also be pulled on and off quickly and easily from the front. This new flexibility is made possible by an elastic snap hook, which is also easy to grip with gloves. A subtle depression in the ski tip gives the hook lateral guidance and prevents it from unintentionally releasing the skin while walking.
Hybrid Woodcore Ultralite: Especially developed for touring skis this is Völkl's lightest woodcore construction featuring a Paulonia, selected Poplar and Isocore combination.
