Child care starting at 2 months and a whole mountain for beginners!
We already mentioned a couple of Telluride's advantages for less-experienced skiers in the beginners' test category. First, there's the 500 meter long practice slope on The Peaks and Meadows. Then, there's the almost 2 mile long slopes off Sunshine Express and Prospect Bowl Express. Less practiced skiers can easily spend a few days at the ski area without ever having to ski a difficult trail. Since the childcare at Telluride is also great, this American ski resort earned itself our highest rating of 5 stars in the Families category. In the activity center in Mountain Village, just a few meters away from the slopes, is the Telluride nursery and a child care for kids age 2 months and up. The Ski & Snowboard school offers various courses for kids of all ages. Here's a tip: during the school holidays (Spring Break or President's Week) as well as over Christmas break and New Year's, the special Kid's Night Out Programm is also offered. The program offers child care even after lift close and allows parents to have some alone time while the kids go on fun adventures with their friends.
