Solitude - a (almost) perfect family destination!

Solitude is an excellent family destination. Solitude Village is car-free and ideal for all those that like to get away from the beaten tracks. An ice-scating-rink is located right in down town Solitude and the cross country skiing tracks begin in close proximity to the village. Even though there is no kids park and no magic carpet lifts there are beautiful easy trails such as the “Moonbeam” where kids can practice unhindered. The local ski school, the Solitude Snowsports Academy is located at both the Moonbeam Base Area and in downtown Solitude. Classes are offered for kids and adults in all wintersport disciplines: alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark and cross country skiing.
