In the Hochoetz ski area, the motto is "Families welcome!". In recent years, the ski area has put a lot of effort into becoming even more family-friendly. The wide family runs, such as No. 9 to Ochsengarten, as well as the numerous blue-marked runs throughout the ski area, are perfect for all family members.
Especially the very little ones are in focus in the "Widiversum" with the mascot sheep Widi. In the kindergarten, care is offered for children from 2 years, in addition, there is a children's restaurant. In the Kinderland with its modern practice lifts, the little ones playfully learn the basic techniques of alpine skiing. The children's parcours is waiting at piste no. 9. On this adventure route, the kids meet the animal inhabitants of the Alps and find interesting information about them on display boards. The freestyle youngsters can practice their first tricks and jumps in Widi's fun park. With Widis Movieshuttle there is even a 5D cinema experience at the Panorama Restaurant Hochoetz near the Acherkogelbahn top station.
The ski area also caters to families when it comes to prices. Children under 8 are free when accompanied by a parent. With the young family card, parents can share a transferable ski pass.
