25 medium to difficult downhill kilometers

With its 41 kilometers of pistes, Hochoetz is one of the smaller ski areas in the Ötz Valley. More than 50% of the slopes are marked red: that means around 22 kilometers of medium difficulty slopes! The slopes are not necessarily among the most technically demanding in the Alpine region. Nevertheless, you can spend great skiing days here, because the wide slopes are best suited for pleasure carvers. In the idyllically located ski area you can relax with a great view of the Stubai Alps and the Acherkogel (3008 m). From some points of the ski area you can even see the Zugspitze.

Especially recommended are the two red marked slopes No. 1 and No. 2 from the Brunnenkopf. There are also two black-marked slopes in Hochoetz that are not overly difficult: No. 8 at the Mohrenkopf lift and No. 12 at the Wetterkreuz lift. Connoisseurs will especially appreciate the long downhill run to Ochsengarten (No. 9). Speed fans will also find a permanent race track at Brunnenkopf, where you can have your speed measured free of charge.

Especially for longer stays, a side trip to the larger ski areas of the Ötztal to Sölden or Gurgl is certainly interesting for experts. The lifts there can be used with the Superskipass (from 3 days).
