Grand ski experience south of Lac Leman (Lake Geneva!!

The winter sports region Morzine-Avoriaz-Les Gets belongs without doubt to the superlatives of alpine ski regions. Due to its ideal mix of slopes in varying degrees of difficulty this resort achieves very good marks in nearly all categories. The ski resort is part of the ski lift association “Portes du Soleil” (engl. doors to the sun) which reaches into Switzerland. Those who obtain a ski pass for the entire Portes du Soleil ski area (which is quite expensive) can enjoy themselves on slopes in two countries easily for more than a week.

Large ski resort with old lifts
Overall beautiful slopes, however, a variety of lifts are relatively old (no hood, slow, 6 and 8 are scarce). Important connection lifts are also too small/old/slow. It is realised that little is invested if one sees this area in comparison to areas in Austria, for example.
