A large ski resort with great beginners facilities!

The ski area around the villages Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets provides excellent conditions for all levels of ability. Beginners shouldn’t be discouraged by the large size of the ski resort as they were thought of by the designers of Porte du Soleil. There is quite an amount of gentle terrain and special lifts that cater to the novices needs. Especially recommendable are the trails around the 1500m high Pleney in the subarea Morzine. In Avoriaz in the area around the Super Morzine gondola quite a few easy trails can be found (for example Tétras, Zore or Séraussaix)

Excellent long run at Pre le Joux. Pre le Joux is where most of the lessons happen. However, Super Chatel offers amazing runs for the beginner and also means that you are high on the mountain absorbing the magnificent views. The restaurants at the top by the beginner slopes offer a great base.
