Thredbo is the more demanding ski resort in NSW

Although Perisher Blue features four times the amount of lifts than Thredbo, the main slopes of Thredbo are much longer and steeper than most runs in Perisher Blue. Nevertheless even for the best winter sports athletes it´s worth visiting Perisher Valley for more than once. After all Perisher Blue offers the most skiable terrain of all ski resorts on the southern hemisphere. Moreover you can find slopes like Kamikaza and The Rock Garden beneath Mt Blue Cow peak which are a real challenge even to the best skiers and snowboarders. In the case of good snow coverage you can even find pretty nice off-piste terrain for experts at “Devil´s Playground” (see the trail map).
