125$ for a day ticket

Skiing in the USA is extremely expensive by European standards, and at 125$ for a day ticket, Mammoth Mountain is no exception (as of March 2016). However, it is not among the most expensive North American ski areas overall. Indeed, a day pass for Vail in Colorado is substantially more expensive at 175$. The hard work that goes into maintaining the numerous family parks and terrain parks across the mountain goes some way to justifying the high price tag.
