      Kids ranch for little cowboys!

Even the day care at Jackson Hole is fitted to their cowboys and indians theme. Children between 6 months and 17 years of age can explore Fort Wyomoing or the forests of the wild west. There are also plenty of green trails the little beginners; Eagle's Rest, Pooh Bear, Antelope Flats, Lower Werner and Lower Teewinot, all located in the practice area off the Teewinot lift, give them more than enough room to practice. But when they stop wobbling quite so much on their skis, you might start wishing there were a few more child-friendy trails. The options for parents are more generous, which is why we recommend taking advantage of the day care. From perfectly-groomed powder slopes to daunting freeride slopes, Jackson Hole has something for even the most demanding of winter athletes (see the intermediate and Experts/Freeriders categories. But, since we can give them any bonus points in this category for these slopes, Jackson Hole receives a score of 3.5 stars in the Families category. Luckily the family-friendlier Grand Targhee is located only an hour's drive away.
