    Great resort for families

There are three practice areas for kids at Gerlitzen; particularly creatively-designed is Schneebarenland kids’ park at the mid-way terminal of the Kanzelbahn, where you will also find certified ski instructors to help your little ones learn the basics. The Moserbahn double chair (E) will take you directly from Schneebarenland to the Sonnenlift practice slopes (no.15) as well as the easy trail Moser-Abfahrt (no.2a). Further beginners’ areas can be found on the Wörthersee slope (just below the Lodronlift (L)) and in Klosterle/Arriach at the Klosterle practice lifts A and B. Once your kids have got the fundamentals down, they shouldn’t have much of a problem with the red trails in the ski area either – including the 7.5-kilometer long trail from the very peak of the mountain (1911m) all the way back down into Klosterle (1000m). Should your kids (or you for that matter!) happen to run out of breath on the long trail, you’ll find the “Huaba Hittn” along the way to take a quick break.
