Expert skiers can look forward to the Kandahar training circuit!

Due to its height of up to 3000m the Zugspitzplatt is a popular training destination for international ski teams. Also Garmisch Classic has dedicated itself to the race disciplines. A slalom time measure track is located at the Hexenkessel Lift (H). A fun guarantor is the Kandahar Circuit which starts at the mountain station of the Kreuzeckbahn (1650m) and leads via the “Mittleren Skiweg” and the Olympia trail to the base of the Kandahar Express where you can catch your breath on the way up to the head of the famous Kandahar slope on 1719m. The Kandahar is a spine-tingling 3km long world cup trail which will challenge even the best among skiers! All those who prefer some deep snow to groomed slopes need to stick to the upper areas of the Kreuzeck (1651m), the Osterfeldkopf (2050m) and the Kreuzjoch (1719m). However we must mention the fact that Garmisch Partenkirchen can’t really compete with the large super-resorts in neighbouring Austria where size and lift-facilities are concerned. However Garmisch is definitely worth an excursion and provides for some fun filled ski moments.
