We were also able to confirm Arapahoe Basin’s reputation of being one of the most challenging ski areas in the US. The legendary trails on Pallavicini and the deep snow terrain in the Montezuma Bowl alone can keep even expert skiers and freeriders busy for days. If you’re looking for an even bigger adrenaline rush, bring your avalanche gear and check out the slopes in the East Wall area on foot. Of course, we would have liked to see a few more easy trails. The low rating in the Apres-Ski category isn’t a big surprise. The US is the wrong place to go looking for good night life in ski areas. Conclusion: Great legendary ski area for freeriders! But there are better options for beginners and families.
