Squaw Valley Launches New Five-Pack Tickets Available Until Jan. 17

Squaw Valley USA has launched a new ticket product with a short term buying window until Jan. 17. The new Squaw Legend 5-Packs provide a direct-to-lift option for skiers and snowboarders who want to hit the slopes for five days in a row or five intermittent days throughout the season.

"Squaw Valley is offering this new product as a mid-season release to celebrate the legendary snow and the renewed energy and enthusiasm at Squaw Valley this season," Scott Clarkson, vice president of marketing and sales, told OnTheSnow. "There is a large market of skiers and riders that are somewhere between buying day lift tickets and owning a season pass."

The non-transferable Squaw Legend 5-Pack costs $299 for adults. It costs $199 for seniors and youth 13-18 years old, and $55 for children 12 years old and younger. The 5-Packs are reloadable in increments of five visits for those who want to add on more days after using up the initial five days.

The adult pricing makes each day of skiing cost $60 compared to the $88 ticket window price. The senior and youth pricing of the 5-packs reduces the daily rate to $40 instead of $62. The children´s 5-pack reduces the daily rate by $1.

"While Squaw Valley´s season pass options are available at several price points, with break-even points as low as five visits at the regular rate, it´s still perceived as a season-long commitment," said Clarkson. "The Squaw Legend 5-Pack provides an opportunity to turn our semi-loyal skiers and riders into loyal Squaw aficionados."

The 5-pack pass may be used any day during the season, including holidays. The pass, which requires a photo and is scanned at the lift just like a season pass, is valid through May 8, 2011.

The new Squaw Legend 5-Packs are available for purchase online or at the Special Tickets or the Season Passes and Tickets office in The Village. They must be purchased by Jan. 17.
