Nicole Hosp dominates Maribor slalom

In Maribor in Slovenia Nicole Hosp has won the sixth slalom of the World Cup season and so has enlarged her leadership in the overall World Cup standings. The Austrian won ahead of the Slovak Veronika Zuzulova and her team mate Marlies Schild.

Hosp enlagers leadership in overall World Cup standings
After the first run Nicole Hosp was already in front that´s why she started as last in the final run. But even the lanes on the piste which had become deeper in the course of the race were no obstacle for the World Cup leader. In the end she was 46 hundredths of a second faster than runner-up Veronika Zuzulova. Marlies Schild showed a stout-hearted second run and completed the race scoring the minimum time of the second run on position three.

Another good result for Maria Riesch
Maria Riesch made it even farther to the front than the day before. The second in overall World Cup conquered place seven after a strong performance in the second run. So she was the best in a strong German team because six German ladies altogether made it to the World Cup points. In the slalom standings Nicole Hosp (405) is ahead of Marlies Schild (360) and Veronika Zuzulova (311).
