Marlies Schild storms to forth victory of the season

At the World Cup in Ofterschwang Austrian Marlies Schild made perfect her forth victory of the season on Sunday. Therese Borssen became second and Nicole Hosp stormed ahead on the third place.

First podium for Borssen
Schild dominated her competitors already in the first run. The Austrian lady was clearly ahead of Veronika Zuzulova by 86 hundredths of a second and the third placed Finn Tanja Poutiainen and gave a proof of her slalom potential once more. In the final Zuzulova and Poutiainen made some mistakes and dropped back to places four and five. But Therese Borssen (SWE) and Nicole Hosp (AUT) took their chance before. While Borssen reached her first podium of the season Hosp improved from seven to three.

Germans established among top 20
Maria Riesch was the best German in slalom on place eight. Behind her Monika Bergmann entered the finish as ninth and Kathrin Hoelzl, Fanny Chmelar and Carolin Fernsebner made it to 15, 18 and 21 into the World Cup points.

Schild catches up in slalom World Cup
By her victory Marlies Schild has caught up again in the slalom World Cup standings. She is five points behind her team mate Hosp now who has 460 points. Veronika Zuzulova ranks on place three (361).
