Forth victory of the winter for Lindsey Vonn

At the World Cup downhill in Italy´s Cortina d´Ampezzo Lindsey Vonn outclassed her entire competitors and won ahead of Sweden´s Anja Paerson and Emily Brydon from Canada.

More than eight tenths of a second ahead
On Saturday Vonn claimed the forth win of the season in a time of 1:36,70 minutes. Second placed Anja Paerson was already more than eight tenths of a second behind her. Emily Brydon who set the minimum time in training lost more than a second on Vonn in the downhill race.

Strong Canadian team
But altogether the Canadian team showed a strong performance. Before Brydon stormed to the podium, Kelly Vanderbeek ranked on place three in the finish. Finally that meant position four for the Canadian. With place six Britt Janyk underlined that the Canadian women belong to the best women in the speed sector at the moment.

Speed queen only on five
Renate Goetschl was able to win on the Tofana ten times already. But on Saturday it didn´t work out for the Austrian speed racer. Goetschl chose a line which wasn´t the fastest in the end. So in the finish it was only enough for place five.
