Finally a win for Emily Brydon

Emily Brydon won her first World Cup victory in a Super-G in St. Moritz on Sunday. The Canadian won in 1:17.39 minutes and secured her win especially with a great run in the lower part.

Gut again in the top five
Behind Brydon, Austrian Elisabeth Goergl came in second and was 0,25 sesonds behind. Renate Goetschl was a further 0.04 seconds off the pace. Lindsey Vonn from the USA took fourth place, a hundredth of a second behind Goetschl. Young Lara Gut had another brilliant performance as she finished in fifth place after her podium placing in the downhill on Saturday.

Hosp still in the lead in the Overall World Cup
The Overall World Cup leader, Nicole Hosp, was 6th in the end and still has a good lead in the standings. She is 89 points ahead of Vonn. Maria Riesch from Germany was 7th in the super G and is now third in the Overall World Cup standings. Not her best day had Anja Paerson from Sweden, who came in 10th after failing to finish the race on Saturday.
