From the outside
Nomen est omen – or “True to its name”. The architecture of arl.rock is reminiscent of a giant rock and its extravagant design is not only beautiful to look at, but draws attention to the sporting showpiece of the Activity Centre: Climbing, bouldering and ice climbing. Up to 25 different climbing routes in varying levels of difficulty can be climbed outdoors. Special attraction: Ice climbing is even possible in summer! If the natural ice on the climbing tower melts, a layer of artificial material appears which has similar properties to frozen water. Just like real ice climbing, climbers can climb this „Ice Wall“ using crampons and an ice axe – the only real difference is the name of this sport: It goes under the title of „Dry Tooling“. Those of you that prefer not to climb on such a steep rocky face can try out the two via Ferrate routes on the Activity Centre’s 18 metre high tower.

From the inside
For colder days there is a 130 square metre bouldering area and 60 climbing routes in varied levels of difficulty ranging from 3 to 9. Guests that prefer to keep their feet on terra firma can have a go at one of the indoor court sporting activities: Thanks to a special floor coating, two tennis courts can be turned into an indoor football pitch or volley ball court. Squash players have their own designated court and there are extra facilities for bowling enthusiasts with four lanes.

For your insides
arl.rock offers not only sporting variety, but also top class dining with some culinary surprises. Those wanting to enjoy a meal in stylish lounge ambience whilst watching the sporting action going on in the sports hall should visit the Resto-Bar. Table reservations are accepted under the telephone number +43 5446 2625.

A propos: The Summer Active Card entitles guests to a range of discounts on all sporting activities at arl.rock. This card is provided free of charge by many hotels and private bed and breakfast pensions in St. Anton and is valid from the 27th June to 10th September.
