Anja Paerson had to wait over a year to celebrate another victory in the downhill but on Saturday she was faster than anybody else and won the downhill in St. Moritz.
Goetschl missed the podium
Behind Paerson Lindsey Vonn was 0,08 seconds behind the Swede and captured the second place. Also on the podium was Germany´s Maria Riesch as 3rd. Speed Queen Renate Goetschl came in as 4th and missed the podium only by 0,05 seconds. The strong Swiss team, racing in front of the home crowd, had their best result with the 5th place of Fraenzi Aufdenblatten. Martina Schild, another Swiss racer, came in as 7th this time.
