Skiing in Big Sky Country

Montana, affectionately known as Big Sky Country, is straddled by the Rocky Mountains and therefore belongs to the so-called "Mountain States". The name is derived from the Spanish word “montaña” and hints at the mountainous, rugged character of the US State.
