The Ski Resort
Ulricehamn ski resort lies roughly an hour east of Gothenburg and has developed in recent years into western Sweden's alpine hub. Eight runs, seven surface lifts and a conveyor belt serve a compact yet surprisingly varied piste offering for families, beginners and intermediates. In the dedicated children's area with a lift carousel, conveyor belt and the popular mascot Loke — who occasionally hosts a children's disco on Friday evenings — the youngest visitors take their very first turns.
In the main area, three runs of around 650 metres each in blue and red difficulty lead down the hillside. The resort's motto is "Ulricehamn first, then the mountains" — and that is exactly how many Gothenburg families use it: as a training ground before heading to the big Swedish mountain resorts.
A particular source of pride is the snow park — the largest south of Kläppen. Jumps, rails and features at various difficulty levels invite freestylers, and the new Fun Ride offers less experienced park skiers a playful introduction. Modern snowmaking systems ensure a reliably long season.

The resort is equipped with floodlights and offers evening skiing — ideal for anyone looking to squeeze in a few turns after the working day in Gothenburg.

Activities
In summer, the site transforms into one of the best bike parks in southern Sweden, with 14 mountain bike trails of varying difficulty. Right next door lies the Lassalyckan cross-country centre — a FIS World Cup arena and one of the most renowned Nordic skiing centres in southern Sweden.
Dining and Restaurants
The on-site restaurant serves hot meals and drinks, and a warming hut invites you to thaw out. Barbecue areas along the slopes are also available — grilling your own sausages is very much part of the skiing experience here.
Infrastructure & Rental
Ski rental, a ski shop and a workshop are located directly at the ski centre. The ski school offers private and group lessons for all ages. Accommodation is available at the nearby Hotel Lassalyckan, just a few minutes' drive from the base.
