Turoa: a beautiful ski resort for intermediate skiers at one of the most beautiful volcanos in the w

The hard facts already show that Turoa is a great resort for skilled skiers. 55% of the groomed terrain is of intermediate level (marked blue in NZ) The mountains station of the brand-new sextuple chairlift “Highnoon Express” (lift B) is situated at an altitude of 2322 m. Turoa therefore is home to New Zealand’s highest lift and boasts as well the largest difference in altitude (722m) in Australasia. Enough facts and figures now! A lot more impressing is the fact that skiing is perfectly possible on one of the most active and most beautiful volcanos of the world. Provided that the weather is nice the view reaching over the Whanganui National Park up to Mt Egmont Volcano (2518m) and the Pacific Ocean is unbeatable and truly one of a kind. Conclusion: passionate skiers coming to New Zealand should not miss out on visiting the two ski resorts at the Mt Ruapehu!
