Safe and well laid-out: the beginners' area at Talma

Talma features an entirely separate beginners area, allowing kids to learn to ski at their own pace without having to worry about getting in the way of faster-moving skiers. Lifts nos. 8 and 9 provide beginners with two different ways to get to the top of the same bunny slope, giving them the opportunity to move their way up to a more difficult type of lift (once they're ready, of course) without ever having to leave their comfort zone. Slightly more athletic families can explore trails nos. 4 and 5. These two trails, located on the other side of the terrain park, provide the perfect conditions for skiers of all ages. The short runs surrounding lifts numbers 10 and 11 are extremely well laid-out, guaranteeing worry-free winter fun for the whole family. Once your kids are ready to change it up a bit, they can try some of the little jumps on the edges of trail number 3. It's best for them to be accompanied by an adult, though, to make sure they don't accidentally get caught in the path of jumping snowboarders. As in many other ski areas in Finland, here you can also book a giant ski instructor bunny to teach your kids both the basics of skiing as well as the rules of the slopes. Just don't forget to book the bunny in advance!
