    Great opportunities for freeriders

Freeriders will feel right at home in Obertauern. The Freeride Checkpoint at the top stations of the Hochalmbahn and Kringsalmbahn provides information about the correct behavior when freeriding as well as the current avalanche danger in the mountain range Lower Tauern. In addition, you can double-check at the checkpoints whether or not your avalanche transceiver is working correctly. The map at the Freeride Checkpoint gives you a nice overview of the backcountry. At the Hundskogel you can find an official ski route.
