Only limited freeride possibilities available

Freeride lovers will find hardly any powder possibilities in Ladurns. Sure, as long as there is enough fresh snow and the current avalanche warning level is taken into account, it is possible to ride off-piste in some places. However, these are only short sections. Therefore the demands of freeride fans are only limited fulfilled.

Avalanche training camp next to piste no. 1

Directly on the "Ladurner Alm" downhill run, shortly before the entrance to the Funslope, a signpost draws attention to an avalanche camp. If snow conditions permit, the permanently installed avalanche training camp is available to winter sports enthusiasts free of charge during the opening hours of the ski area. For example, the correct use of electronic avalanche detectors can be tried out on site. Occasionally there are also free introductory courses. Interested persons should inquire at the Ladurns cable cars in advance.

Occasionally one could see tracks in the deep snow away from the slopes. But this had nothing to do with a secured freeride area
