Heavenly is without question a superb choice for all intermediate skiers!

Testing ski resorts in the US, we began to notice that quite a few of them have begun adding increasingly steeper off-piste slopes to their terrain to provide their guests with even more extreme powder experiences. Heavenly is no exception; at the far end of the Mott Canyon lift slopes as well as in the powdery Milky Way Bowl you will find numerous Black Diamonds for your off-piste pleasure. But you will also find a surprising number of groomed intermediate slopes for athletic skiers who prefer to ski on the trails rather than beside them. Particularly impressive carving runs are the intermediate (categorized blue in the US) trails off the Stagecoach Express, Dipper Express and Canyon Express lifts. The lifts themselves are very modern for American standards and not too shabby even in comparison to our own European ones. The panoramic view is incomparable, looking down over the steel-blue Lake Tahoe, and helps Heavenly get as close as humanly (and earthly) possible to earning its name. The resort received 5 out of 5 possible stars in the Intermediate category.
