Asking the freestyle community what's the best feature the region has to offer, the answer would most certainly be: Gaissau Hintersee! The reason for this is quite obvious: its excellent Freestyle & Boarder Park, which has continuously been enlarged ever since it was opened.
At the upper area, one may find the “Easy Kicker Line”. As if it was designed for beginners, it is perfectly suitable for those in need for some extra practice before being able to cope with larger obstacles along the ski runs. The lower area of the Funpark, on the contrary, is best suitable for professional skiers, containing 13 obstacles in total and including kickers with up to 15m (49ft) high tables to catapult both boarders and freestyle skiers into the air.
But Gaissau Hintersee has more to offer! Snowboarders will thoroughly enjoy themselves off-piste too. Particularly the designated red mogul run No. 4 is – with sufficient snow supply – a dream for any lover of off-piste adventures.
