Beginners’ area for the little ones and challenging slopes for parents!

A cute little beginners’ area at Creekside Lodge with its very own magic carpet lift set the scene for your littlest ones. With a little practice they’ll be ready to take the easy slope next to the Easy Rider Quad chairlift. If you’d like to book them a little professional assistance, you can sign them up for lessons directly at the base. Those parents who choose to do so and happen to be very advanced skiers themselves, can look forward to a great selection of trails at Cypress Mountain (including “Moons, “Slash” and “Top Gun”). But even those of you who prefer exploring the trails in the company of your children will find plenty of suitable easy as well as intermediate slopes. We recommend beginners start with “Runway” and then try “Collins” on for size. Intermediates can head for “Horizon” and “Crazy Raven.” Parents who decide to let the kids roam a bit on their own might want to do so in Mt. Strachan, since all trails in that part of the area end at Creekside Lodge (base). All in all, Cypress Mountain has a convincing selection of trails for families and received a score of 3.5 stars in the category.
