The practically perfect family ski resort!

There are two designated practice areas at Copper Mountain. To the east of Center Village is a 200 meter long practice slope called Green Acres, where you can practice in peace, away from the surrounding ski circus. At the base terminal of the Kokomo lift is the second practice area, where you’ll find three magic carpets, all running directly in front of the Ski & Ride School, which help the little ones in their endeavour to learn the new art. The fact that High Point, Kokomo and Lumberjack also have quite a few long, family-friendly runs leading off of them makes Copper Mountain practically perfect for families. If only the lifts weren’t lacking certain safety measures! Those lifts in particular, which are most often used by inexperienced skiers and children (such as High Point), are the ones lacking safety bars. This forced us to deduct a few points and give Copper Mountain a rating of 4 out of 5 stars in the Families category.
